Kyanite

Kyanite is often confused with blue sapphire which is much better quality and more precious stone. Kyanite is not as sturdy or durable as sapphire and should be worn very carefully. This gemstone is available in green and much more common blue shades. Some rare kyanite stones are also found in grey and white shades. Most of these stones have very uneven distribution of color on them and it is a special characteristic of this stone. Kyanite is much softer and less durable than blue sapphire which is second strongest stone in the world.
