Peridot

Peridot is ancient gemstone and the oldest discovered Peridot dates back to 2nd millennium B.C. and was found in Egyptian jewellery. Those stones came from a small deposit on a tiny volcanic island in Red Sea which lies around 45 miles away from the Egyptian coast. Ancient Romans also loved this gemstone and its radiance that never changes even in artificial lighting. This gemstone was also found in many European medieval churches, like the Cologne Cathedral.
