Tiger's Eye

This gemstone is type of quartz that has brown iron in it. The iron in Tiger’s eye creates golden yellow color. This type of stones show small rays of light on its surface; hence, giving the impression of a tiger’s eye. The best kinds of this gemstone are found in South Africa. But this gemstone is also found in Western Australia, California, Myanmar and India. Tiger's Eye just like the eyes of tigress with light and this characteristic is known as the chatoyancy. Tiger’s eyes are made of silicon dioxide which provides it the lustrous brown and yellow parallel fibers.
